The title "Times Up" (no apostrophe) refers to time I spent up in the very top of a church tower in the 1990's. It was my rented studio space, for £10 per week, in a then disused, redundant, Grade 1 listed, parish church in Norwich, Norfolk UK.
There is a public passageway under the chancel, which was rebuilt in 1394. The body of the church dates back to a 14th-century, although the tower is older. The building is managed by the Norwich Historic Churches Trust.
After
being made redundant as a parish church, it was used as an arts centre,
which closed in September 2012. The following year it was leased out for
use as an antiques centre, which it continues to be to this day.
