We "rescued" our dog Lily in december 1997 when she was not quite a year old according to the vet.
A mix of whippet, terrier and collie, she was a great, low-maintenance pal for many years. "A one-hundred-mile-an-hour couch potato" as one very smiley gentleman, - whippet-owner, fellow passing dog-walker, up at the UEA lake put it one spring day.
She lived happily for eleven years and is now buried under the walnut tree in the top garden, with lilies planted around a headstone carved by Nigel.
